Monthly Grange Meeting on February 4th
HAPPY NEW YEAR! We’re looking forward to spending 2025 with you and yours in this wonderful Corbett Community, and we are underway in our planning. We’ll share our goals and seek your engagement at our February Grange Meeting on 2/4.
Every 2-3 years the Executive Team evaluates where we are and where we want to be in the form of some Strategic Goals and Initiatives (see the draft here). We will also assess our members’ involvement and accomplishments and where we need to draw on the skills and experience of our members to reach our goals – Officers, Committees, Volunteers. Here’s the link for more information and NOTE: National, State and local Granges have a long history and some of the language used to define Officers etc. is quite formal and culturally archaic (we’ve added a Disclaimer).
Here’s a look at our Tuesday, February 4th meeting that starts at 6:30:
Finger Food Pot Luck – we’ll meet & greet as we snack on Light Dishes, Appetizers and Desserts. We’ll provide the drinks. If possible please bring something to share.
Welcoming and Gathering with Introductions
Recognition Time! So many members give of their time and expertise and we want to take this New Year’s Time to give them the recognition they deserve. Come share your stories of praise!
Sharing our draft Strategic Goals and Officer and Committee Roles and planning for Elections upcoming at our March Meeting. NOTE: We are soliciting and inviting a broader involvement this year and beyond. Everyone has skills to share and we want to harvest those skills at our Grange e.g. skilled crafts, board experience, community partnering, hands-on work and organizing.
Tree Removal Grant Proposal – explanation + vote of approval.
State Grange Convention in Corbett held at the School in June!!! Come hear about it and what our Grange’s role(s) will be and how you can help!
